Funeral Arrangements forHonor Hebenstreit

Beloved Members of St. Martin's,

We share the heavy news of the peaceful passing of our dearly loved Honor Frances Hebenstreit on July 4, 2023, at the age of 98.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on March 23, 1925, Honor was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She blessed the lives of her husband, Richard Henry Hebenstreit, their children, Rick, David, Laura, and Ann, along with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Honor's love for knowledge was infectious, passionately teaching her children the joy of reading and the importance of being nature lovers. As a gourmet cook, her culinary masterpieces were daily celebrations at the dinner table, inspired by her extensive collection of 4,000 cookbooks.

She carried her faith in action, dedicating time to volunteer therapy for infants with disabilities, active involvement in the Steven’s Ministry, various Bible studies, and tireless support for St. Martin’s mission church in West County, St. Louis.

Please join us in celebrating Honor's remarkable life on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, located at 15764 Clayton Rd, Ellisville, MO 63011.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Love on a Leash through their website or directly to St. Martin’s Episcopal Church.

Honor's life was one of service, love, and compassion. As we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the enduring legacy she has left behind. Special thanks to Sandy, Audrey, and their canine companions, Skylar and Callaway, along with the team at St. Luke’s Hospice and Surrey Place for their unwavering support and care.

Depart, O Christian soul, out of this world;

In the Name of God the Father who created you,

In the Name of Jesus Christ who redeemed you,

In the Name of the Holy Spirit who sanctifies you.

May your rest this day be in peace,

And your dwelling place in the Paradise of God.
