Music at St. Martin's

make a joyful sound!

Music at St. Martin’s incorporates many musical styles and many people. At our 10:15 Sunday morning worship service (Holy Eucharist) you will find traditional organ music and hymns, along with our beloved choir singing Psalms and anthems. We also have folk hymns and contemporary songs that are easy to sing accompanied by guitar and other instruments. Children and youth will find opportunities to sing or play instruments at special times throughout the year. Our hand bell choir provides another layer to music in worship. At special times during the year, such as Christmas Eve and Easter, we encourage everyone to join us in presenting the Hallelujah Chorus with our orchestra.

ST. MARTIN'S CHOIR

The St. Martin’s Choir is a group of parishioners who meet to sing and learn music together for the purpose of leading the music for our congregational worship each Sunday. Being a part of the choir is about making joyful music to God and no prior musical experience is necessary. Both adults and teenagers are welcome to join the choir. The choir meets weekly on Wednesday evenings for rehearsal and sings at the 10:15 am Sunday Eucharist.

YOUTH MUSIC ENSEMBLE

outh Music Ensemble is made up of youth in the church who sing or play musical instruments for special times during worship services throughout the year, especially for Holy Week and Christmas. The Music Director assembles this group and can be contacted by anyone interested in participating.

HANDBELL CHOIR

The Handbell Choir is a group of parishioners who meet to play hand bells for the purpose of bringing lovely bell music into the life of our congregational worship. Being in the hand bell choir is spiritually enriching not only for our congregation but also for those who participate in the group. Adults and teenagers are welcome to be a part of the hand bell choir. The choir rings monthly for the 10:15 am Sunday Holy Eucharist. No prior musical experience is necessary, as long as you can count to eight.

SOLOISTS AND INSTRUMENTALISTS

Soloists and Instrumentalists offer music for various occasions and musical offerings throughout the year. This may include playing along with the choir, providing special music during the 10:15 am Sunday Eucharist or additional worship services throughout the year.

If you have a musical gift you'd like to share, or are interested in getting involved in one of our musical programs, we would love to hear fro you!
