Adult Forum: Hospice Care

Have you ever had questions about hospice care and what it means? Have you ever wondered if it was right for a friend or loved one? Unlike other medical care, the focus of hospice is not on curing the underlying disease. The goal is to support the highest quality of life possible for whatever time remains. Hospice supports the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions of a person (and the family) with a life limiting illness.

Hospice care is not only a philosophy of care, but also a benefit under Medicare, Medicaid, and many other insurances. Come and learn all things hospice from St. Martin’s parishioner Angela Logan, a nurse who has worked in hospice for 15 years. Please bring any and all questions you may have to Park Hall at 9am on February 5th.
