Camp Firebird (formerly Camp Phoenix) is the official summer camp of The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri. We welcome all students between the ages of 8 and 18 to attend — you do not have to be a member of an Episcopal Church to have a great time with us!

The Rev. Erin Pickersgill, Ministry Developer for Children and Youth in the Diocese of Missouri, oversees Camp Firebird. Camp counselors are required to participate in training, agree to background checks, and must participate in our “Safe Church, Safe Communities” program.

The history of youth summer camp in the Diocese of Missouri dates back to 1892 and has been held in a variety of locations throughout Missouri and Southern Illinois since that time. Camp Phoenix began in 2004 and was originally located at a site near DuBois, Illinois. After taking a one-year hiatus in 2023, we are pleased to offer a whole new camp experience with new leadership and a new location.

For more information, please contact the Rev. Erin Pickersgill, epickersgill@diocesemo.org or go to https://diocesemo.org/camp-firebird.

St. Martin’s would like to celebrate those who are graduating or receiving a degree this spring with a special blessing on Sunday June 8th at the 10:30 Eucharist. The June Brunch Sunday will take place on the 8th this month which is also Pentecost Sunday don’t forget to wear RED!

We would like to recognize each graduate by name in the bulletin, if you or someone you know is graduating or receiving a degree please send their name and your relationship to them, if it is not yourself, to stmartin@stmartinschurch.org.

It would be great if each graduate could be present to be honored in person but even if the graduate cannot be here on Sunday we would like to celebrate them and their accomplishments.

The Renaissance and Requiem team is conducting a survey to assist us in finding what people enjoy in the parish as well as things that people believe need to be changed or improved.  Physical copies of the survey can be found in the narthex or a digital version can be found at the below link.  If you have any issues with either of these versions, would like a physical copy sent to you, or would like to discuss in more details, please reach out to Becky Brewer at 314-332-7711 or becky.m.brewer@icloud.com.
