St. Martin’s Garden Ministry Update (June 15, 2023)

Updated: Jul 15, 2023

It’s been a good spring for St. Martin’s Garden Ministry. As of June 6, St. Martin’s Garden Crew had already made 6 deliveries of lettuce to Circle of Concern totaling about 80 pounds. That’s a lot of lettuce!

The pictures tell the story:

  • On Tuesday, June 6 Scott Pattengill and Judi Batch weigh the crops of the day: collards weigh in at 3 ½ lbs., radishes at 3 ¾ lbs. and beets at 13 ¼ lbs. The crew said that the rain on Sunday, June 4 was wonderful for the garden.

  • After the weigh in, the next step is delivery to Circle of Concern. That’s Scott dropping off the day’s produce fresh from St. Martin’s garden.

John Lange says that the next crop coming along and almost ready to harvest is squash… actually two different types. Stay tuned.
