Christian Faith Formation and education in the Episcopal Church is a lifelong journey with Christ, in Christ, and to Christ. Join us as we offer a regular schedule of topics each week of the month for Adult Forum. The parish that learns together stays together! All between the ages of 12 and 100 are invited!

Week 1 (10/1): Praying the Scriptures: Lectio Divina

Dive deep into the scriptures and be nourished by their wisdom by practicing reading them contemplatively and responding to them prayerfully. The first meeting we will learn the steps of lectio divina. Each participant will receive a lectiojournal and be encouraged to practice praying the scriptures each week throughout the month.

Week 2 (10/8): Modern Questions, Modern Faith- Theology in the World

How does Episcopal belief shape our engagement with the issues affecting our world? How does our theology affect how we encounter each other and others out in our everyday world? Bring your questions about what Episcopalians believe, how we engage with the world faithfully, and together we will explore our responses.

Week 3 (10/15): Brunch Sunday: Fellowship!

Week 4 (10/22): Treasures of the Anglican Tradition

Get to know the treasures of the Anglican/Episcopal tradition: the hymnals; the different prayers and liturgies in the Book of Common Prayer and Beyond; poetry; great thinkers, saints, and leaders; and more! This is a class for beginning Episcopalians and members from the cradle!

Week 5 (10/29): St. Martin’s Book Group--Monthly Book Study

Each month we will read a different book meant to inspire and spark our faithful imaginations. We will then meet together to share our impressions and discuss our thoughts.
