St. Martin's EXPO, Festival and Corvette Show

General Information

St. Martin's invites you to join in a free community event. Several Corvettes will be on display and all attendees will have the opportunity to vote for the best Corvette shown. Hot dogs, chips, soft drinks, and other novelties will be sold with a percentage of all sales going towards Circle of Concern and the Episcopal Mission for Ukraine. Other participating groups include Boy Scouts of America, Circle of Concern, Laundry Love Ministry, Garden Committee, Red Cross Outreach, Native American Ministry and the Ellisville Fire & Police Departments.

Mission:

  • This first event has been designed as a FUN raiser for the Parish and Outreach to the Community.

  • A portion of all net proceeds to be distributed to Circle of Concern and the Episcopal Mission for Ukraine (percentages of funds to be determined by Vestry and distributed through St. Martin)

  • Experience(s) with this event expected to lead to a second (hopefully annual) event, with different possible themes as not only a Ministry Event, but also a means for raising additional funds for our Church.

Corvettes will be arranged on the lot for visiting and voting for Best In Show.

The Best In Show Corvette gets a trophy and 2 Cardinal Baseball Tickets. Those who vote for the chosen Vet, will go into a pool. One will be drawn and will also receive 2 Cardinal Tickets.

Ministries will be on display inside and outside the building. Outside will be under tents. Inside will be in Park Hall or the Narthex.

We will also have an Aid Station - overseen by Angela Logan & Sherrie Algren, with supplies they requested. It will be in the Library.

We will encourage all of our congregation to bring/carry an umbrella. This will serve as added protection from the heat and sun, but also act as a way to "decorate" ourselves on the lot, hopefully drawing attention to the street traffic, and creating a festival atmosphere.

Funds will be generated by selling food & beverages (cooking outdoors and serving in Park Hall kitchen), Closest to the Pin and general donation stations, located at the kitchen and exiting the parking lot.

Ellisville Police have been notified and will circle the grounds throughout the evening. They will also monitor traffic patterns and assist if help is need on the day of the event.
