In Memoriam: Joe B. Fletcher

Beloved members of St. Martin's,

I am deeply saddened to inform you all of the passing of Joe Fletcher, beloved husband of Kay Fletcher, at the age of 79. Joe passed away Thursday, August 5, very suddenly, with Kay and his daughter Kristin and other loved ones at his side, fortified with the prayers and rites of the Church.

Joe is survived by his wife, Kay; his daughters, Kristin Putnam and Cassidy Fletcher (David Murdoch); and his grandsons John and Sam Putnam, as well as a multitude of beloved family and friends. Please hold all who knew and loved Joe in your prayers.

Arrangements for a celebration of Joe's life and legacy at St. Martin's will be made and shared at a later date.

Joe's online obituary will be found at Schrader's website in the next few days. The general link for obituaries can be found by clicking here.

Memorial contributions may be made in Joe's memory to St. Martin's or to the University of Arkansas, Joe's beloved alma mater.

Depart, O Christian soul, out of this world;

In the Name of God the Father Almighty who created you;

In the Name of Jesus Christ who redeemed you;

In the Name of the Holy Spirit who sanctifies you.

May your rest be this day in peace,

and your dwelling place in the Paradise of God.

God of all, we pray to you for Joe, and for all those whom we love but see no longer. Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. May his soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
