Children’s Christian Formation Ministries
St. Martin’s Episcopal Church strives to engage children in the life of our church and offer opportunities for faith education at all levels of growth.
Children’s Worship
Contact: Teresa Reeves and Julie Clark
Children between the ages of 4 and 8 are invited to celebrate an age-appropriate worship service each Sunday (during the school year) during our 10:15 service. The children follow the child crucifer to the Upper Laird, where an adult leader and teen helpers greet them and share Bible stories, prayers, songs and activities. The children return to their families in the sanctuary in time for the Peace.
Nursery
Contact: The Rev. Jon Hall
Our nursery is available for infants through 4-year old toddlers every Sunday. It is located in the Lower Laird, down the stairs to the right of the main lobby. The nursery is staffed with caregivers on Sunday mornings from 9 – 11:30 a.m. during the school year and from 9:45 – 11:30 a.m. during the summer. The nursery is also opened for special occasions by appointment through the office.
Sunday School
Contact: Kay Fletcher
Christian formation classes are offered for students in pre-kindergarten through high school every Sunday (during the school year) from 9 – 10 a.m. Pre-K through 8th grade meet in the undercroft section of the basement (down the stairs near the coat closet). High school students meet in the youth room. We also have a Sunday school class for toddlers, which meets the second and fourth Sunday of each month from 9:30 till 10 a.m. in the nursery.
