The one who sings, prays twice. – St. Augustine

Music plays an important role in both the worship and outreach life of the church, as well as providing cultural events for the surrounding communities. At St. Martin’s, music is both mission and ministry, an offering of ourselves and a gift from God to be shared with others.

Music Ensembles

Our ensembles regularly enhance our worship services and inspire the song of the church. Soloists also offer periodic music throughout the year. Contact the music director for more information and to get involved 636.227.1484 ext. 18.

Sanctuary Choir Rehearses Thursdays 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Adults and high school youth are encouraged to join us as we prepare weekly anthems and musical settings of the Psalms. Sunday rehearsals are held at 9:30 a.m. and the choir sings weekly at 10:15 a.m. worship. The choir meets Sept – May.

Tintinnabulation Rehearses Mondays 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

The English Handbells of St. Martin’s: new ringers are currently needed. Contact the music director to learn more about handbell ringing. This group carries on the rich tradition of English handbells in the worship environment. We ring once a month at 10:15 a.m. worship. The bells meet year-round.

Other ensembles

Children’s choirs and instrumental groups meet on a periodic basis for special events and festival worship services.

Concert Series

The church hosts concerts and recitals each year, featuring local music organizations and nationally recognized musicians. To inquire about scheduling an event or for more information, contact the music director at 636.227.1484 ext. 18.
