Community Garden to break ground at St. Martin’s

St. Martin’s is nearing final approval to break ground in the back yard for a community garden in a joint relationship with Bridgette Kossor of “Garden from the Ground Up.”

The garden will be divided into plots and one plot will be for St. Martin’s to raise food for Circle of Concern.

YOU may have a plot for you and your family to raise veggies, too. To reserve your plot, become a member of the garden by signing up online at www.gardenfromthegroundup.org. (There is an annual membership fee.) Membership is limited so sign up early for your own plot!! Be sure to state you are a St. Martin’s member on the application.

Any person interested in caring for the St. Martin’s plot to grow food for Circle of Concern, please contact Beth Buehler at babuehler@aol.com. All questions or comments welcome!!

Traditional Seder Meal

Wednesday, March 24th at 6:00 p.m., St. Martin’s Church will celebrate with a Seder Dinner led by Rabbi Lynn Goldstein.

Join in this unique experience and a delicious meal, prepared and served for you. The cost $5 is per person ($20 max. per family).

Experience the ritual of Seder with Rabbi Goldstein as our guide. This will be an especially meaningful dining experience. Sign up in Park Hall or email Leanne Lyle.

Keeping a Holy Holy Week: The Gardens of Holy Week

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Ferguson
Led by The Rev. Susie Skinner

Give yourself the gift of stillness…rest…and peace. As you prepare to enter Holy Week spend some time walking quietly through the sacred gardens of our creation, redemption and salvation – The Garden of Eden, The Garden of Gethsemane, The Garden of the Resurrection. This quiet retreat time will provide opportunities for meditations, reflection, prayer, and silence in anticipation of the blessed time that lies ahead.

We will gather for a light continental breakfast at 9:00 a.m. The retreat itself will begin with prayer at 9:30 and will conclude with celebrating the Eucharist at 12:30. A soup luncheon will be served following the Eucharist. Bring a Bible, paper, pencil and yourself – ready to rest in God. The Rev. Susan Skinner, an experience retreat leader, will lead the meditations and guide the day.
