Everyone is invited to St. Martin’s Saturday, Oct. 30 as we celebrate the season with our Fall Festival. Enjoy fun crafts, a chili cook-off, dancing (not with the stars) and much more. Here is the line-up of events and times for the evening:

5 – 8 p.m.Â Â Â Doors open: food, games & activities for all ages
5:30 p.m.Â Â Â Â Costume contest (all ages), pumpkin carols
6 p.m.Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Hayrides begin
6:30 p.m.Â Â Â Â Square dancing begins
7:45 p.m.Â Â Â Â Chili cook-off winner announced
8 p.m.Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Event ends

Tickets are $5 per person ($20 family max) and are available at the door. All money raised will go to school and art supplies for children in our companion diocese of Lui in Sudan.

Celebrate the season at St. Martin’s Fall Festival Saturday, Oct. 30 from 5 till 8 p.m. All ages are invited as we enjoy a chili cook-off, hayride, square dancing, costume parade (with prizes), games and plenty of food and drinks.

Tickets for food (chili, cornbread, desserts & drinks) are $5 per person, with a $20 family max. All proceeds will go to our Sunday School outreach project, providing school and art supplies to children in our companion diocese of Lui in Sudan, Africa.

Walkers raise money to build wells in the Sudan

Bright blue skies and a chilly breeze greeted dozens of church and community members for St. Martin’s third annual Walk for Water Saturday, May 8.

The group left the church at 8:30 a.m., eager to do their part to raise money to build wells in our companion Diocese of Lui, Sudan. Â Walkers, runners, bicyclists and scooters chose a 1-mile, 3-mile or 5-mile course surrounding the church grounds.Â It was a glorious day — as you can see from the attached pictures.

So far, we have raised approximately $6,500 that will go directly to Lui.Â You can still help that number grow by making a donation through this website or dropping off a check at church.

Thanks to Beth Buehler and the MDG committee for organizing such a great event. And thanks to everyone who continues to participate in this fun and important cause!

St. Martin’s second annual Water for Sudan Walkathon was held Saturday, May 2. Â Nearly 60 people took to the streets of Ellisville in an effort to bring clean water to villages in Africa.

Interim Rector Susan Crawford announced today that the May 10 walkathon sponsored by St. Martin’s raised at least $18,600 – more than enough to build a well for the diocese of Lui in southern Sudan. Continue reading »
