On Nov. 15, several members of St. Martin’s Student Ministries Youth Group got together to bag the coats collected in our coat drive for St. Martin’s day. Ellie Ecker, Gina Garbo, Lindsey Peters, Brian Peters, Wayne Peters and Matthew Greenbaum, led by the youth group leader Sean Parker, bagged up 137 coats contributed by St. Martin’s parishioners. We prepared them for Kurt Warner’s Winter Warm-Up.
“The coat drive, I think, was a great success,” Sean said. “I will be taking them to Warner’s Winter Warm-Up donation site at Chesterfield City Hall tomorrow (Monday).”
It was a great contribution from St. Martin’s! After youth group members were done with the coats, they went to It’s a Grind coffee shop to relax after their hard work.
The coat drive was intended to commemorate St. Martin’s act of charity, in which he cut his cloak in half to share with a beggar who was cold.

Here are more dates for upcoming (SM)2 events:
Jan 15 – City Museum (Diocesan-wide event)
Feb 21 – Sports Fusion (Laser Tag, etc)
Mar 28 – (SM)2 movie and/or game night
Apr 18 – Babler State Park (hike, games, BBQ)
May 9 – Car wash
