Message from the Search Committee 7/7/08

The initial search committee meeting took place with Dan Smith, the Canon to the Ordinary. Dan will be actively involved consulting and supporting the search committee to guide us on this journey of faith, the calling of our new Rector. Our plan is to have a new Rector within the next 9 months to 12 months.

Rector search committee named

Twelve St. Martin’s members have accepted invitations to serve as the Rector Search Committee. They are Carole Clary, Elin Cogan-Adewunmi, Heidi Gioia, Kurt Greenbaum, Jack Hanley, Diana Hauser, Erv Heyde, Bob Huheey, and Tim Ware. The three vestry representatives on the committee are Jeanne King, John Lange and Ed Hamm. The committee co-chairs are Heyde and Gioia.

The committee will begin its work June 17 with a training session, conducted by The Rev. Canon Dan Smith of the Bishop’s Office.

This parish identity serves as a tool not only for the Rector Search Committee, but also for the congregation as it looks toward renewing and redefining itself. My name is Chris. I’m a well-educated professional in my mid-50’s and recently divorced. It’s been hard for me but I believe I’m beginning to heal from the pain.
