Rector search committee named

By jmt; posted on June 5th, 2008

Twelve St. Martin’s members have accepted invitations to serve as the Rector Search Committee. They are Carole Clary, Elin Cogan-Adewunmi, Heidi Gioia, Kurt Greenbaum, Jack Hanley, Diana Hauser, Erv Heyde, Bob Huheey, and Tim Ware. The three vestry representatives on the committee are Jeanne King, John Lange and Ed Hamm. The committee co-chairs are Heyde and Gioia.

The committee will begin its work June 17 with a training session, conducted by The Rev. Canon Dan Smith of the Bishop’s Office. It is expected the Search Committee will recommend three suitable candidates for the position of rector and then, according to church law, the vestry will issue the call to the final candidate to serve as the third rector of St. Martin’s.

Meetings of the Search Committee are closed and confidential unless otherwise dictated by the committee. The search process will require several months, and updates on the progress of the work will be provided regularly. If you have questions and/or comments, please contact one of the committee members or Senior Warden Bob Buehler.
