Water is Life. Most of us take for granted access to clean drinking water. Yet 1.1 billion people worldwide live without access to safe drinking water and approximately one-half of the people living in sub-Saharan Africa do not have access to a disease and parasite free source of water. This becomes a personal story for St. Martin’s because this is a fact of life for those in our companion Diocese of Lui.
